We all want to keep ourselves and others safe by abiding by government regulations to stay at home when possible and maintain social distancing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get exercise! 

In fact, in this stressful time, exercise is more important than ever. Being confined is unhealthy for adults and kids alike, and exercise can help maintain your health and immune system, as well as alleviate stress and anxiety. 

Every healthy, able-bodied individual needs to run, walk or jog JUST ONE MILE every day. The result will be better physical and mental well-being.     

If you are an avid runner and need more of a challenge, try a 5K every day or 10K all the way.  We know that races across the country have been cancelled, but that doesn’t mean you can’t run.  Race yourself and all other participants.  Good luck Runners!

  2. Plot your course. Measure your chosen distance with your car odometer, trail mile markers, or use Google Earth's measure distance feature. (Good project for the kids)
  3. Log your times.
